New dates and format for All-Stars, Renegades and Hooligans

There are two post season tournament that STNLL participates in. Historically we have sent 3 teams to the All-Star tournament for district 3 hosted in Carson City. In the past, this tournament started about June 18th and ran through about July 1st. We also try to field two teams for the R Renegades and Hooligans tournament that is hosted by Washoe Valley Little League in South Reno. This tournament started around June 12th and went through the weekend.

This year it will be be different. We are sharing this with you so that you may consider the timing of these tournament as you make plans for when school get out in June.

For the All Stars Tournament: As of now we are looking at two sites with Centennial playing the northern host and Carson City playing the southern host. (This would be where STNLL will play) The idea is to split pool play between the two sites and then send those progressing on to Carson for the elimination and championship phase of the tournament. As of now we are looking at pool play going from Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10, or Saturday, July 11 if needed due to participation numbers. Elimination play will begin July 14 and conclude on July 18, leaving enough rest to have everyone fresh between the pool and elimination phase along with a weekend in between.

For the Renegades and Hooligans Tournament: Washoe will continue to host Renegades & Hooligans for 2020. The dates have been pushed back though. It is tentatively set for June 24th to June 28th. We will be able to provide more exact details as we get closer. We are hoping that we can send at least two teams to the this tournament now that it starts after school is out for the Summer.
